Insulin is one of our key hormones that activates our metabolism and gives as energy. It also carries sugar through the blood vessels to the cells. However, many are those who are resistant to the action of insulin. This is called an insulin response and can cause metabolic syndrome. Cinnamon can reduce insulin resistance by allowing the hormone to do its job and lower blood sugar levels.
Cinnamon is also known for lowering blood sugar. It lowers glucose after each meal in combination with digestive enzymes, which reduce the breakdown of carbohydrates.
